About me
Sydney Butler (she/her) is an attorney with the Eviction Right to Counsel program of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. A 2023 graduate of Belmont University College of Law, Sydney is passionate about helping tenants assert their rights through eviction defense, Fair Housing advocacy, and affirmative litigation. While at law school, Sydney was awarded the Tennessee Supreme Court Law Students for Justice award for her pro bono work with various legal clinics and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Sydney earned her bachelor's degree at Western Kentucky University in forensic psychology.
