About me
Michael Davis, a 2015 graduate of UT College of Law, has been practicing predominantly in landlord-tenant law with Legal Aid of East Tennessee since 2020. In his time there, he has handled numerous detainer warrant defense and fair housing complaint cases as a Staff Attorney and Managing Attorney of the Knox County Eviction Prevention Program. Michael also worked on the Mental Health Law Partnership between the McNabb Center and LAET and was a former mental health case manager/social worker for adults and children before attending law school. Michael still supervises social work interns today at LAET. He was named as one of Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services’ New Advocate of the Year in 2025. Michael believes that everyone should have access to quality legal advice and representation, and outside of his work, enjoys playing and listening to music, skiing, and spending time with friends.
