Dr. Boero is a native of Argentina and is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. He is a licensed psychologist who received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of South Dakota and completed his postdoctoral training at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Boero’s psychotherapy practice is based on a generalist model grounded on cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and humanistic theories. Moreover, he tends to focus on treating adolescents and adults experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, adjustment reactions, as well as familial and interpersonal complications. In his psychological testing practice, Dr. Boero provides a broad range of psychological evaluation services for adolescents and adults. His evaluation practice includes diagnostic testing, personality testing, psychosexual assessments, forensic evaluations, bariatric surgery screenings, law enforcement personnel (fit for duty) assessments, and immigration evaluations. Dr. Boero has a long history of providing psychotherapeutic and psychological evaluation services to monolingual Spanish speakers. Dr. Boero has conducted multiple professional and community presentations on issues of multicultural competence, working with diverse populations, and conducting immigration evaluations.
