About me
Bri Crawford is the 2025 Equal Justice Works Text-to-Give Fellow at the Youth Law Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Her fellowship project addresses the unmet legal needs of racially marginalized children and youth with disabilities in Tennessee who are involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Bri is a graduate of Howard University School of Law and holds a Master of Public Policy in Education Policy from Vanderbilt University. During law school, she served as a policy consultant with the Juvenile Court of Memphis and Shelby County and completed internships with the Battered Women’s Justice Project, the Maryland Office of the Public Defender’s Juvenile Unit, and the National Center for Youth Law. She also represented parents in her law school’s child welfare clinic. Prior to law school, Bri worked as an education consultant, supporting schools, districts, and education-focused organizations in designing equitable policies and learning environments that expanded students’ opportunities to thrive. Bri brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her advocacy, grounding her work in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to justice for youth and families.
